System is not startign up! Startupscreen is shown for ages. Just changed MTU...

I have used TuneUp Utilities to optimize my Windows 2003 Server System's Internet
Connection Settings and to speed the system a littel bit up. Since that the system
isn't starting up anymore. It fails on Startup screen and hangs for ages. I think
the change of MTU in the TCP stack has caused this but i am not sure. Has anyone
else encounterd problems like that before?
Has anyone else encountred Problems with Widnows 2003 and changed MTU settings?
