2003 login screen - user name password grayed out

Fresh install of Windows 2003 server on a Dell 2850. Running VNC and Antivirus.
After a while (day, two, sometimes 3) press CTRL-ALT-DEL to login - the user name
and password fields are grayed out. The domain field is available. I cannot login
to this machine. Even if I try remote desktop connection, I cannot establish a connection.
Only way to resolve is to power the unit off (yuck!). It comes up fine, can login,
etc. Several days later, it happens again. Anyone else having this problem? I
am running 4 Dell 2650's (for over a year) with no issue whatsoever. This is the
only 2850 I have.
