game server latency problems

IM running 3 gameservers on an
amd 3800 x2
2 gigs ram
CPU % = 30 tops
Windows server 2003 sp1.
Basically after several hours the latency starts increasing (not the ping0).
....the gameplay is not affected....
Now if for example i click on the command box of gameserver "crono" so its at the
front of desktop then the server latency fixes, but all the rest stay bad.
THen if i was to click on the cmd box of gameserver "cheesecake" so its at the front
of desktop then cheesecake has fine latency but server cronolegs doesnt.
A tempory fix for this ive found is to make sure the last thing i do is click on
windows media player so its at the front of desktop. This gives both servers good
latency.
Any ideas what can cause this ?
