I had this same error using HP Photosmart 2700 series and it seems to have been caused
by a power outage I had 2 days ago. This is the first time I have tried printing
since then. I read the earlier posts on this thread and I replaced the "HP Standard
TCP/IP Port" with the "Standard TCP/IP Port" as many have suggested. This worked
like a charm. I don't know what functions I will lose by doing this, if any, but
for now, I am satisfied. Thanks! BTW, I am using Windows XP Pro SP2. I ran a search
for the error using Google and ended up on this forum which is why I am posting here.
