Hello. I hope I have picked the right forum for this.
I have a client computer on a network connected to a machine running 2003 server
and Microsoft sharepoint companyweb.
When using the "new document" option in a Document Library in sharepoint I get the
following error. "The document name or path is not valid", and word 2000 opens the
default template instead of a word document. I tried this fix: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/886619
and made Windows SharePoint Services Support, Not Available in outlook 2003.
Unfortunately I now get this error: "‘Edit Document’ requires a Windows SharePoint
Services-compatible application and Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater".

Suggests that the fix for one problem causes the other.
So am I dead, insane or just in a coma?
