Proglem with printers on thin clients

We have just installed a number of WinCE 2.1 and CE.NET 4.1 thin clients all with
USB printers (mainly Brother HL-2-30s and a few older Kyoceras) - working great except
that the printer settings always revert to the defaults whenever the user logs in
- the printer is newly recreated in every session so is, in effect, a new printer
each day.
Anyone able to point me in the right direction on sorting this??
