I did some research on your errors. The mofcomp.exe file is a compiler for the MOF
scripting language. It uses WMI and is closely related to windows updates. I found
a very helpful posting here.
I would first make sure you have the proper permissions, if you are logged on with
any username other than the administrator make sure that username has all the necessary
admin permissions.
Your errors suggest corruption in the files associated with WMI.. Read the article
I gave you a link for and try the steps one at a time. Let me know what you find
out.
If you can't figure it out please post any relevant entries in the event viewer,
most likely found in the application section, that could help us determine what is
happening at the time of this error.
