Disable Dynamic DNS for specific subnet

Greets,
I'm looking for a way to disable dynamic DNS just for a specific subnet. We have
an issue now were users can connect via VPN at which point their host will update
DNS with their host name. However when the next user logs in with a client that does
not register they may get the recycled address of the previous connection. But since
their system did not register with DNS, or for some other reason yet unknown, they'll
have the previous user's host name for reverse lookup.
So I would just like to disable dynamic updates for the subnet that the VPN clients
use. All the articles I can find on this subject talk about settings on the individual
hosts (which are out of my control) but nothing about the DNS server itself.
Any suggestions?
TIA,
Eric Brander
