Your initial problem sounds like a service dependancy problem. Kind of a domino effect where one service failed and the others are unable to start without it. As for the access denied error, what level user account are you logged in under? Seems you would have had to have admin rights to remove it. If you have an admin acct you could try uninstalling and reinstalling the NIC driver and it should put Client for MS networks back as that is always included by default. Good luck, Paul
