From the command prompt, 'netstat' works well.. It is simplistic in nature.. Try using 'netstat -abn' it will show the process that owns each port and what it is doing. Or, you can go for a sysinternals program from Microsoft's website that gives you more in depth analysis. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897437.aspx Its called TCPViewer.
