looks normal.. The next test is to make sure that the LDAP server is not blocked.
Try 'telnet exodus.server607.com 389'
If you see a blank screen with a flashing cursor, you can just press ENTER and this
is a sign of successful connection to the LDAP server. If there are any error messages
than we have a problem.
If this is successful, then the only thing I can think of is installing a packet
sniffer and take a look at the nitty gritty thats happening over the wire to determine
where the failure is.
