Mixer-Media Audio Controller shows no driver

I have a Compaq Presario 5690-Pen III, which I have added MEM-up-to-384-RAM, And
I have 4-Operating System on it. XP,Windows 2000 NT Professional,Windows 2000 Server,
and Now I am adding Windows 2003 Server. I have each Operation System in different
partitions, but when I choose Windows 2003, I have no driver for the Multimedia Audio
Controller. All the others are working fine on the same computer.
1.) Why? and How can I get this problem resolve.
2.) Is there a Website that I might be able to get this driver that I need?
3.) Or is there something turn off that I don't know?
You might be wondering why I have 4-operating system. The answer is that I am taking
Computer Networking System at ITT and I need to learn all of them real good. I can
choose any one that I want to play with. But this Windows 2003 is hell!!!!.

The process for getting a compatible driver package for the multimedia controller
under Server '03 is no different from what you would do with the other OSs.....search
driver websites, find out whose sound chipset is on the mobo (assuming of course
it's onboard sound), looking at their support pages for drivers, etc.
But that's "square one"-level stuff, so I assume you've done that already.
From a practical perspective, the sound chipset manufacturer may have simply decided
to not develop Server '03 drivers for that chispet since quite often, server installation
do not use any sort of sound card.
The other idea I had was based on the fact that Windows Server 2003 SP1 is going
to be a big "DNA donor" to Windows Vista. By that I mean Windows Vista's core is
going to be closely related to Server '03 SP1, so, if you can find Windows Vista
drivers for that multimedia controller, there's a pretty good chance that those Vista
drivers might work for your Server '03 installation.

I have the same problem, I'd be very happy if you could tell me what driver it is
that worked for you (the one that you're running now). And, if possible, where you
got it from :)
thanks!

Thankyou! This worked for me using Total Commander to unpack the inf files ( actually
I think only wdma_ctl.inf is needed ) and all the files from driver.cab to a folder
then it installed ok as "Sound Blaster 16 or AWE32 or compatible (WDM)" into Windows
Server 2003 running inside Virtual PC 2007.
