Client PC User Rights

Recently installed SBS2003 with XP Pro clients. The users seem to require 'Administrator'
rights in order to run some of their local applications on the XP Pro clients. If
I reduce the users to 'Users', various error messages appear.
I don't want to leave all users as 'Administrators' but I do need them to be able
to run their local applications.
Is this a common problem? Does anyone have any suggestions for what to do or where
to find an answer?

Yes, it's very common. Here's the solution: Add the domain\users group
to the local administrators group on each client PC. This will give the users
rights to run all software. Also, it allows them to install so be careful.

Thank you very much. That was exactly the advice I needed. I have tried it and it
works.
I have also experimented with adding specific users to a local PC 'Administrator'
group and have experimented with making them members of 'Power Users' and 'Backup
Users' as an alternative.
