Can't map drive in server 2003.

I have a domain (Server 2003) and the controller simply acts as a fileserver. All
users can map to the file storage drive apart from one new user. She has all necessary
permissions and can log on without problem. This is a brand new laptop with Xp Pro
SP2 and all patches. I have created shortcuts on the desktop and she can access the
file drives from there.
The problem is that when I attempt to map the file drive, I get an error message
saying "go to control panel and install system components". I then wind up with an
icon and the correct path in Network Drives, but when I click on the icon, I get
the above message as well.
I have installed every component that I though could be needed, but none of the other
computers have had this problem. All suggestion accepted gratefully.

Thank you so much. It worked. There is no way that I could have logically worked
that out.
