Backup Exec 11d on 2003 Server error

I am getting this error every morning when I check my backup from the night before.
"To fully protect Windows Server 2003, you must select Shadow Copy Components for
backup"
I don't want to check Shadow Copy in the Selections because of the large amount of
backup space it takes.

did you upgrade that server from Server 2000 to Server 2003? Symantec has a KB Article
