Windows 2003 DNS

Scenario - We use MXLOGIC for email pre-processing, and we have a DNS service running
internally on a 2003 box.
Problem: Every couple of months or so, the internal DNS service stops responding
to queries from MXLOGIC so inbount mail does not get delivered.
QUESTION: Is this an AD config issue

You really need to do more troubleshooting to find out exactly where the failure
is.
Why would DNS quit responding to only MXLOGIC? A couple questions to ask... Is MXLOGIC
hosted on a different machine? What is its IP address. Use NSLOOKUP to query the
DNS server from that machine and see what your results are. If DNS is responding
to other requests OK, then I would assume it would also respond to requests from
mxlogic, meaning the failure is most likely in mxlogic.
A wireshark packet capture of the communication between mxlogic and DNS would prove
most helpful in diagnosing the issue.
