I have an active directory running on a win server 2003 and i have a shared folder
to redirect all the users documents every 2 or 3 hours the sharing is go away i check
the services and i find the "server" "computer browser" "net logon" "distributed
file system" are stoped i start them again and the sharing work then they stop again,
i tried to put this server as manual or disabled after starting them but the same
thing happen again.
I have the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Lanmanserver\Parameters\AutoShareServer
with the reg_Dword autoshareserver set to 1.
I still cant figure out what is stoping my services!!

do you think it might be a problem with the executable of the "server" service
" C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs" ? because all the services mentioned
above depend on the "server" service

You make a good point about about the other service being dependent upon the one
single service. When that one service fails the others shutdown.
However, the service is crashing, not being stopped, most likely. This event will
be found in the event log, and that is where you start your investigation. Go from
there to solve your problem.
The event will tell you that the service has shutdown unexpectedly and tell you why.

well I found this interesting article about a virus that crash svchost
http://blogs.technet.com/asiasupp/archive/2006/09/19/457412.aspx
I tried to install the MS06-040 like the article recommend but I couldnt because
I have SP2 update so windows is telling me that the update is not necessary, i removed
SP2 and the problem went away til now , i will keep the system like that for 1 day
and test it if nothing happen and all the services are ok I will install SP1 followed
by the security MS06-040 update.

What you are saying really makes no sense. You think there is a potential that you
have a virus so you installed a windows update?
Service Pack 2 already has the update, thats why you can't install it.
You've just done some drastic things to your box for no reason at all.
