speakers are plugged in, volume is HIGH (I can tell by how loud the white noise! is), but no music, no email alerts, no nothing. Obviously there's a connection missing and I can't figure out what or why! Help!!!!!!

Is the sound card drivers installed? Any devices with yellow exlamation points in device manager?
