folder dates problem upon installation

Hello dear friends, I installed Windows Server 2003 on a new machine. After restoring my data (which I temporarily held in another backup machine) I was surprised to find out that all my folders had the date of Windows server installation. For example, i installed Windows Server on Jan 10th and now ALL the folder dates have become Jan 10th instead of Nov 2nd etc etc. Is it possible that I restore my folders to the previous dates? Thank you Kostas

It all is dependent upon how you are transferring/restoring the files from your backup. The answer, in short, is YES you can preserve the date and time.
