Hello,
I have a new Dell Inspiron Mini 910 netbook. (see specs below) It came with XP Home
Edition. I was able to play AVI (DivX, XVid, MPG, etc) with the built-in WMC just
fine. The videos were played over the built-in wireless connection from a file server
I have set up (also XP).
I wiped out the XP installation on the Mini and installed a clean copy of Windows
7 beta x86 on it. All drivers are installed with no issues. I can play the same
videos from the file server using VLC player with no problem. However, if I try
to play them using WMC included in Win7, the video skips and stutters. Is there
a way to specify more buffers or other performance enhancements in WMC? I am very
familiar with editing the registry if that is the best way but I don't know what
to change. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
