Hello, I have a new Dell Inspiron Mini 910 netbook. (see specs below) It came with XP Home Edition. I was able to play AVI (DivX, XVid, MPG, etc) with the built-in WMC just fine. The videos were played over the built-in wireless connection from a file server I have set up (also XP). I wiped out the XP installation on the Mini and installed a clean copy of Windows 7 beta x86 on it. All drivers are installed with no issues. I can play the same videos from the file server using VLC player with no problem. However, if I try to play them using WMC included in Win7, the video skips and stutters. Is there a way to specify more buffers or other performance enhancements in WMC? I am very familiar with editing the registry if that is the best way but I don't know what to change. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Specs: Dell Inspiron Mini 910, Dual 1.6Ghz Processors, 1GB RAM, 16GB SSD Drive, Intel(R) 82801G (ICH7 Family) PCI Express, Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter, Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset WDDM 1.0 (256Meg), Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter, DirectX 11
