Recently Opened Files List Sunday, February 22, 2009 at 8:41 am Windows 7 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Dave Gowan (1 messages posted) Could you PLEASE change the Recently Opened Files list in Office products so that the user can view more than the last nine opened files? I'm a heavy user, in the Data Security field, and I open many resource files each day. It's aggravating to have to click two to five directories down each time I need to open a resource file. Could we have the ability to list 25 or more recent Excel, Word or Access files--even have a long drop-down list like the Internet Explorer Favorites list? While we're at it could we add a feature to Windows Explorer, that would allow us to display two directories side-by-side, like the old Xtree did? So we can move files from one directory to the other, or compare files?
