"i brought xp pro installed on windows me" sort of implies that you bought a retail
upgrade of XP Pro and installed it on a computer that had Windows Me.
If that's correct, then when the originally-Me-now-XP-Pro computer is retired/junked,
the XP Pro upgrade (since it is a retail license) can be moved to another computer---but,
because it is an upgrade license, it has to be installed on a computer that has a
genuine Windows OS that can be upgraded to XP Pro, such as another Me computer, a
W2K Pro computer, or an XP Home computer.
If the XP Pro in question is a *full* retail license, then it can be moved to any
other computer without any conditions, other than of course it can only be installed
and activated on one computer at a time. You could use a full retail license for
XP on a Vista computer if you wanted to run XP instead of Vista.
