re: Can't delete windows.old folder Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 1:38 pm Windows 7 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Bongzki (2 messages posted) hi! i finally found the way (or the site posted by a user) on how to delete the windows.old in Windows 7 RC. here you have to do it using the Disk Cleanup utility of your hard disk, but this time you have to do it right since you mentioned that you tried it before but it did not work. Again click Computer>> and right click the hard disk that contains your Operating system (usually drive C:), click Properties >> Disk Cleanup ... after it shows up all available options you can delete, check that the "Previous Windows installation (sumthing like it) " is also selected then proceed with the actual deletion process.
