So will I be missing ANYTHING by getting the Upgrade version over the Full version?

If I get the Upgrade version; can I completely format my HDD (or use a brand new unused HDD) & while installing 7, input the Vista Product Key so 7 knows I have Vista? I believe some ppl have done it this way w/previous Windows upgrades.

When I went from

But I am wondering if I should try
