Freezing after sign in Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 10:05 am Windows 7 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by LP31700 (2 messages posted) Okay, I just bought a new laptop over the weekend and it's got the new Windows 7. Well, I had no problems with logging in until it started asking to do all those annoying updates (which immediately asks you to restart after it's done). Well, whenever it updated, I can get into the logon screen to put in my password. Once I hit the enter or the arrow key to sign me in, it gets stuck saying "WELCOME". I thought maybe it was just because of it still trying to install the update...so I left it. After an hour, though, it was definitely stuck. This has happened a few times whenever it installs a new update. Any suggestions????
