Possibly the ports sending surges the devices cannot handle but the iPod is able
to absorb, every device is different on how much they can take. If these are front
ports the first thing I would do is open the case and make sure the leads are in
the right places and are all the way down, it might also be a known issue with that
motherboard so check that out as well. Might be wise to put in a call to the shop
you got the motherboard from while you are at it, they might be able to put the tower
thru the works to track down the problem.
