Desktop keeps rearranging icons Sunday, November 1, 2009 at 3:08 am Windows 7 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Helmut Rabis (4 messages posted) Windows 7 seems to have a major annoyance with the desktop re-arranging custom-placed and arranged icons. After installing a new program which adds an icon to the desktop, the desktop gets rearranged. In some cases previously placed icons disappear from the desktop after re-starting Windows 7. While I really enjoy Windows 7, this annoyance kind of spoils the overall positive experience. Maybe somebody has an idea how to fix that stupid bug?
