The Netgear Card I installed also worked with just the Windows Drivers, but I did end up installing the Netgear ones a few days later. Windows did recognize the Netgear Drivers as better, and allowed the update.

If you really want a new Router then get a N Router, and a N adabpter. Might as well upgrade to faster spec.
