Hi, To install a HP6840 printer on windows 7 64bit ed. Go to "peripherals and printers" and then "add a new printer". Then select a port, at least to get access to the next screen where you have an option "windows update" to clic on. Doing this you get a lot of new printers which were not on the DVD and among them is an "HP Deskjet 6800 series" . I installed the printer on the home network (not wireless).
