A brief search found that you likely have a NVIDIA GeForce 8300 GS 128MB video card;
this card can support up to 1920 x 1200, but the driver you have may well be good
only through Vista.
I have no idea if there's a newer driver, although I'd have expected the Windows
7 installer to check on such things (it does for upgrading from Vista, I don't know
if it does for moving from XP.)
Check this site, which does show some Win7 drivers:
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
If you only have 128MB video memory, there are limitations as to what the card will
do.
Curiously, the MS Windows 7 Compatibility guide does not appear to even list nVidia
cards; perhaps they are there, but under a different name.
As a last resort, visit an arts supply store, buy some good paper and colored pencils....
