Instead of Remove
the Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant (ClickOnce) Firefox Extension, just backup
your Firefox profile, uninstall Firefox, install the service pack, install Firefox
and put the profile back.
Refer to your Firefox manual on how to backup and restore the profile.
This will take less time than the long procedure in the entry this stuff "relates"
to.
