Thanks Dan,,,,,

I spent about 100 bucks to update my oldest XP PC (pc133 sdram) vintage, to a First Generation Dual Core 2 GHZ AMD X2. Kind of surprised how well the 64 bit Win7 works.

I actually don't seem to have any more software incompatibility problems then on the 32bit Win 7.

Thanks Dan.

Off that same page is a link that covers the Windows 7 Easy Transfer Utility. Looks like it will be a snap to migrate to a new computer and maintain all you data. http://content.zdnet.com/2346-12354_22-287837.html?tag=btxcsim

Just for the heck of it I installed Win7 beta build 7000 on my test-rig with vintage 2004 hardware: a Pentium 4 3.0GHz single-core contraption with 2 Gigs DDR2 memory and a Radeon 9800 PRO AGP graphics card. All of the drivers were automatically installed and everything works quite smoothly. I am very impressed with Win7 and I look forward to the final product (I hope the forum hardware-police don't bust my chops for posting this)!
