If it's not on the HP web site, then there is none.

HP's website, the OS may have a generic PH printer driver that would work to. Either
way your best source is HP.

If HP doesn't support your printer in Win 7 now, it's possible they will produce
more drivers as the OS matures. In the meantime, you can probably find a driver that
will work that was maybe written for another series of printers. Here is a link to
a driver that 79% have voted as being compatible with Win 7:
http://www.bioticaindia.com/deskjet-6800.html
If it doesn't work just google "hp 6800 driver win7"
Make sure you create a restore point before trying unapproved drivers. I would restore
back to current status each time before trying more than one (if necessary), to ensure
no extra unwanted files are left behind.
While using unapproved drivers is not generally recommended, sometimes it's the only
way to extend the life of a peripheral. I have done it a number of times without
regret.

Isn't there a search for drivers in the Printer setup wizard? I believe that Windows
7 has drivers for alot of the older printers. I have a LaserJet 5 that is atleast
8 years old and Windows 7 found a Microsoft Windows driver for it.

I saw on HP site to use the driver on the installation cd
until one is available for download.

The ones supplied by M$ are usually just basic printer drivers and will not enable
any extra functions the printer has.I just used the Vista drivers for my All in One
HP.

Try the Vista drivers. If they don't install, W7 asks to reinstall using recommended
settings, then it repeats the install. This worked for my setup. RPvet.

Hi,
To install a HP6840 printer on windows 7 64bit ed.
Go to "peripherals and printers" and then "add a new printer".
Then select a port, at least to get access to the next screen where you have an option
"windows update" to clic on.
Doing this you get a lot of new printers which were not on the DVD and among them
is an "HP Deskjet 6800 series" .
I installed the printer on the home network (not wireless).
