Looks like more of a problem with hotsync than kernel32. If you're not using hotsync to connect to a PDA or some other device, uninstall it, reboot the computer and run scandisk. If scandisk returns found errors, delete them to recover memory space. Run defrag too while you're at it. If you are using hotsync, uninstall it and reinstall clean. After you uninstall it run scandisk and defrag before you reinstall. Obviously if you are planning to use hotsync, make sure you have the installation software before you remove it from your computer.
