Steve,
I finally got it working again. I tried removing the NoIDE in the register and then
found it wouldn't boot even in safe mode. I had to restore my register in DOS. I
was trying to set up Direct connection when it happened so I went to network in the
control panel and removed some of the stuff including file sharing, rebooted and
it worked. I went back and set up print and file sharing again and it didn't boot
again. I have set this up on other machines and had no trouble, so I'm not sure what
is wrong with this one. There are several things in network so there may be some
conflicts there. I'll try removing some that look redundant and see. Anyway, thanks
for your help.
Dave
PS. There is no NoIDE statement in the registry now.
