Try running Scan disk in Safe Mode. Choose 'thorough' and see it that corrects the 
errors. Restart your PC and as soon as you see the message, "starting Windows 95" 
press F5 to get into Safe Mode. Be sure to disable your screensaver. This will take 
time, but it's worth a try.
