I, too, am having the following error message: Windows could not combine VxDs into a monolithic file before starting. And I am running Windows ME (or, attempting to run). All documentation online refers to this problem only in Windows 95, and I am at a loss for solutions as my computer immediately shuts down when I press a key to continue. I have tried to reinstall windows a few times in Dos, but every time I receive the same error. Has anyone had any luck in fixing this, and if so, how? Thanks for any help, Christina.
