Start the machine with the 98 boot disk in the drive and the cd rom should be enabled when it starts. Insert the 95 cd and type d:\ and hit enter. Type cd:\win95 and hit enter, type setup and hit enter. Windows 95 install does not autorun, you have to start it. Also, if your 95 cd is a "Companion" disk you can not do an install with it as some of the necessary files are intentionally left out. ( cd:\ is the change directory switch for DOS, it has nothing to do with the CD drive ) Also if the drive has been formatted, you may need to install the dos files on it. From the a:\ prompt with the floppy in the drive type: sys c: and hit enter.
