All pc's on our company's lan use dchp to auto-assign ip addresses. None of our pc's besides this one has any problems with slow lan logins, and this one's the fastest pc in the building. Go figure... I did check to see if we had duped ip's or user id's somewhere, but there wasn't. I finally got frustrated and resorted to installing win98 on the machine by deltree'ing the win dir thru dos then installing 98. I believe it was something buried in the guts of the windows reg somewhere, lot of old references to our old server name... problems fixed now after the install.
