Hello,
You will need to have the following:
A boot disk which will allow you to use your CD Rom
(Place in floppy drive and turn on computer).
Click start computer with CD ROM support.
Place a copy of windows 95 (full or upgrade version)
in cd rom, and change drive to D or E, whichever drive
letter your cd rom corresponds to.
At the cd rom drive letter prompt, type (let's say E:
was assigned,
win95\setup
If using an upgrade version you will need the #1
disk of windows 3.1 (when windows 95 prompts
for eligibity confirmation), insert this floppy drive and
click "browse," and then click A: drive.
When prompted, you will need the product key #
which corresponds to your copy of W 95.
After installation, you will need the drivers (allows your
hardware to function properly) for your video card,
sound card and modem if applicable. You will need to
know which you have by either opening case and obtaining the info from the actual
cards or installing
a hardware diagnostic software which id's what hardware is in your computer. (Win
95 itself may
sometimes id and install some drivers but not always).
Hope this helps. Good luck.
