You are probably running clean Windows 95 install on this PC. Check for Compaq drivers and updates on compaq.com. As an example, on http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/deskpro/us/locOsCat/3_2.html look for "S3 V2 Support for Windows 95" on the bottom of the page, download it and replace the autodetected video driver.
