I have several conflicting devices in Device Manager under the Sound, Video game controller. I have tried removing these but no luck. I receive an error message: Cannot remove selection. You have a device category selected. Device categories cannot be removed. Click the + sign next to the device category and then click the device you want to remove. I have followed this step by step and I still cannot remove them. We have installed a new sound card, however the computer doesn't seem to recognise this, the driver has been loaded - are the conflicts causing a problem with the sound card?
