What is my command interpreter ?

I added AOL 7.0 after I had to delete a lot of files(which I checked to make sure
that they ween't anything important.AOL 7.0 was added than the screen asked me if
I wanted to delete the 3 things in my recycle bin,I said yes.Than it said it would
shut down my computer and restart it...so far so good.When it restarted the computer
it wouln't go past a screen that says Microsoft Windows 95 Startup Menu....there
are choices 1-7 it says to enter a choice and if you don't it does it for you....enters
numbe 7-safe mode command prompt only.Also there is a warning Windows has detected
a compressed drive access error,says to choose numbe 7 to help indentify the problem...now
it is asking for the nae of the command interpreter....what does that mean.....help
this is the first time I have actualy used a computer except at the library.
