Out of curiosity, what's the name of that spyware detector. I've never heard much
about that AV program either. Just FYI, there's an excellent freeware AV by Grisoft,
AVG.
I dont' know what to suggest other than to do a search in the registry for the name
of that program. Since it's not the AV program you need to remove, it should work.
Are you familiar with using regedit? If not, I'll post instructions on how to do
the search.
Another thing that would help, is to run a good registry cleaner, "after" the manual
search to clear out leftovers. JV 16 Power Tools includes an excellent registry cleaner.
It's an excellent program and always creates a backup. I would just use the reg cleaner
feature in and leave the other go. You still need to use caution. That's up to the
user. I suggest the download with the installer included, the .EXE file.
