Click OK. Accept the settings. Go back to properties. Click OFF the "show icons using all possible colors". Click OK and get out of there. Go back to properties. Increase resolution and colors to wanted level. Click OK to apply changes. Then click ON "show icons using all possible colors." It worked for me. Hope it works for all of you.
