ie6 problem

sir
my internet explorer stop responding or freezes for about 15 to 20 sec when i visit
a page that i have to fill a furm into it,or when i enter user name and password
in any site it freez between username and password than freez again between password
and pressing enter
and in www.download .com it freez when clicking the search drop menu of the site
can any one help please
