As most will say back up any important data first ,then with a bootdisk boot the
computer and at the a:\ prompt type in this , ren c:\ win.com win.old ,then it
enter (spaces between the ren and the win.com and the win.old )then at the prompt
,with the win98 cd in the drive type, setup make sure when the setup reatches were
it ask what directory you wish to put it in make sure to put it in c:\windows and
not the c:\windows000 that will appear click to chanf directory and remove the 000's.
