Dear Windows 95 user, First of all, I must ask, why do you have active desktop with Windows 95??? If you installed the "Active Desktop" feature with Internet Explorer 4.0 you might want to know that it may have problems because Windows 95 was not made to have an active desktop (it runs better without one anyway) Here are a few other reasons to remedy your problem. 1.When the blank Green screen appears, double click the left mouse button to bring you to that dialogue box. 2. Click on File, then Run Application. 3. In the dialogue box type exactly as shown: C:\Windows\explorer.exe This should work!!! Now here is what you need to do. Go into this directory: My Computer -> C: (or name of your hard disk) -> Windows -> System -> "Sysedit.exe" Click on the "System.ini" window. And Makes sure that where you see "Shell=" it says next to it Explorer.exe. It should say this "Shell= Explorer.exe"
