Was just a suggestion. You might try starting again with the suggestion "Steve Easton"
the guru of windows 95 gave me. As follows....
Using those switches performs an unconditional or low level format which will remove
compression / reformat a disk that has been compressed. The /s switch automatically
writes the sys files when done so you don't have to type sys C: and press enter.
I always recommend using them just to cover all the "angles"
formatC: /u /c /s must use the spaces..
