It sounds as if your video adapter has bad memory.
To eliminate the possibility that the CD is damaged, you could copy the \win95
directory the hard drive, and then launch the W95 setup from that location. I suggest
you copy to c:\windows\options\cabs. Tell Setup to install in c:\windows
and ignore its dire warnings about installing to that destination.
